This two-week GWO Blade Repair training will equip you with the skills to get started in the industry. This Blade Repair Couse is facilitated by active blade repair technicians, supervisors and engineers, each with more than a decade’s experience in the industry.
GWO Blade Repair Training from Altitec Academy also includes ActSafe Ascender end-user training, covering safe work practices for battery and petrol-powered ascender systems, and demonstrating the latest rope access methods for wind turbine inspection. This is usually done on the Saturday of the 1st week of training and is subject to availability of a Skylotec certified ActSafe trainer.
The GWO blade repair training course is an entry-level course. Delegates are not expected to perform repairs on major structural elements of blades like spars, spar caps and carbon fibre.

This Blade Repair Course will provide the foundation of skills essential for delivering high-quality repair work in a safe environment. At the end of this course, you will be able to work safely with composite materials while conducting inspection and basic blade repair procedures. You will also be able to support an overall improvement of the safety of personnel working on composite repair work and blade inspection in the wind industry.
